All the Single Working Mommies

All the Single Working Mommies:

I see you and I couldn’t possibly pretend to fully understand your reality. I will tell you that when my husband is away at a work conference, I can barely hack it. From the moment he leaves I start a mental countdown to the time when my support will return. Continue reading

Sign of Hope: DIY Decorative Paper Mâché Initials or Wall Sign

Friends, I am always one to keep it real. Typically, when I post a DIY, it’s because I was able to get in, get it accomplished, and move on with my life. These are the types of projects I live for…and this project Continue reading

Holiday Snowflake Fingerprint Ornaments

With the Thanksgiving holiday wrapping up, we are plummeting directly toward Christmas. As I’ve mentioned probably a thousand times a year, I love this time of year. But, man is it a busy time. It seems like there are a thousand things to do to keep traditions alive and prepare for the holiday and our impending travel. Each year I like to make sure, in addition to purchased presents, our families receive a special gift from our kiddos. Life with a newborn and four-year-old is still as busy as can be, so this year especially, I needed something super easy and time friendly. This project Continue reading

Our Family Yearbook

We have lots of intentional and accidental traditions in our house. Seano and I both seem to be creatures of habit. Not that we aren’t up for spontaneity, but we seem to function best in routine. One tradition that  started accidentally  but has become Continue reading

Russian Sage Bundle for Rustic Fall or Winter Decorating

Each autumn we trim our Russian Sage, or Perovskia Atriplicifolia, nearly to the ground. We do this to keep our plants healthy and thriving. Let me tell you, it works like a charm and these beauties bloom a gorgeous purple all through the following summer. Their aroma reminds me of hearty sage and they are loved by bumble bees. I Talked to The Tall Mom & She’s Awesome

We are surrounded by incredible women and it’s a special treat when we get to share them with you. Many of you already know the awesomeness of the The Tall Mom, one of our favorite blogs. If you are a fan of that blog, the book Seeing Ione, or Jansen Curry, the fabulous creator of both, you are going to love today’s post!

I had the opportunity to ask Jansen a series of questions, Jelly Bean Journals style. From each of our blog’s headings, I had Jansen tell us about her own MommaKiddos and the Love of her life. Then, I got some Health advice, asked for Confessions and received some inside information on her book, in Everything Else mode. I have also included a bonus Seeing Ione question for those of you who have already fallen in love with the story! Continue reading

Watch Me Grow: Month by Month Baby Picture Idea

Friends, my Baby B turned 6 months old over the weekend. We all already know how quickly babyhood time slips by, even though there are moments that can feel eternally long as a parent. I have to admit, I’m overly shocked at the lightning speed of this last half of a year. There are a couple of things that contribute to this, I suppose, Continue reading
