I know I’m not shocking any of you when I say that we are big holiday people. Well, more accurately, I am a big holiday person. I always go overboard and have been working on scaling back to a more reasonable level. I will always have special treats and traditions for my family around the holiday, but maybe, just maybe they don’t need quite so many. Continue reading
Friends, I am always one to keep it real. Typically, when I post a DIY, it’s because I was able to get in, get it accomplished, and move on with my life. These are the types of projects I live for…and this project Continue reading
With the Thanksgiving holiday wrapping up, we are plummeting directly toward Christmas. As I’ve mentioned probably a thousand times a year, I love this time of year. But, man is it a busy time. It seems like there are a thousand things to do to keep traditions alive and prepare for the holiday and our impending travel. Each year I like to make sure, in addition to purchased presents, our families receive a special gift from our kiddos. Life with a newborn and four-year-old is still as busy as can be, so this year especially, I needed something super easy and time friendly. This project Continue reading
We have lots of intentional and accidental traditions in our house. Seano and I both seem to be creatures of habit. Not that we aren’t up for spontaneity, but we seem to function best in routine. One tradition that started accidentally but has become Continue reading
I tackled a Jumbo Magnetic Chalkboard Frame project with my husband. Woo, I am so happy with the project I can’t even tell you! Continue reading
I am so excited for New Year’s Eve this year. Along with several of our family friends, we have rented rooms at a local hotel that has a great pool for the kids. Between the five families, there will be at least 9 kiddos! For me, New Year’s Eve represents a time to reflect on the last year while looking toward the year ahead. So, I hate the idea of leaving N on a night that holds this meaning for me. But, I also love ringing in the New Year with friends. This year, Continue reading

Our beautiful friend, Mama T, is expecting her second bundle of joy. We celebrated this precious boy at a great baby sprinkle over the weekend. Because this is kiddo number two, her party hostesses requested that guests bring frozen meals to stock the deep freeze of her growing family. This was one of the most helpful things for Daddy D and me when Baby B was born, so I was more than happy to prepare an entrée. In addition, I wanted to do a little something extra for Baby J. I decided to create a delicious, glue free diaper cake! Continue reading
Have you seen string art on Pinterest, yet? Every now and then, I see an adorable string art image pop up and I find myself pinning it almost every time. Here’s what I love about string art:
- The colors and color schemes you can incorporate.
- How the imperfection of it is perfect.
- You seriously can’t mess this up! (I love being crafty, but I often struggle transitioning the idea in my head to real life and that frustrates me!)
I’m starting to think about ways to make N’s room more “toddlerish” and less “babyish” Continue reading
