Big Brother N could spend hours coloring, cutting, gluing, threading or doing some other type of art activity. Believe me, I’m a huge supporter of this, especially in the winter when his other favorite activity to request is TV. Over the years, we have received hand-me-down supplies from friends and my mom who was a preschool teacher for years as well as new materials as gifts. Our collection was really getting out of hand. I love decorating for my kids’ birthday parties and I go all-out, especially for their first birthdays. I suspect that this is something that will change as my kiddos get older because they will call the shots for their special days and probably end my party decorating craze era.
There are a couple of posts I want to make sure I write for, or about, both of my kiddos. This is one of those and it falls on the lighter side of things. Brace yourself for a repeat venture of a project I shared with you all back in 2015. (Yeah…2015…my dear goodness! TWO years ago?! Anyway…) Enter “True Toddler Fashion” where I explore the true, self-created style of a toddler!

Dear Kiddo A and Toddler B,
I want you to know…
I will always love you. Even on days when I’m frustrated or you don’t like me very much, my heart still swells with overwhelming adoration for you. This love is unconditional and will never change, even if I don’t agree with every choice you each make. My heart is permanently yours.
I will always fight for you. There are no two people more precious on this earth to me than you. Even if the cost is great, I will do everything in my power to make sure your situation is fair, healthy, and right. When it is time for you to make your own choices I will still stand in your corner, firm in my protective conviction. I believe you are worthy and capable of handling anything. I will be there to remind you to persevere when times get tough and I won’t be silenced or stopped. Continue reading
As I shared in “Loving Life with a Toddler: The Things I Most Appreciate Today” I was extremely surprised by how deeply I loved being the mom of a toddler. I must say that I have a completely different relationship with our little girl, Baby B, than with our little boy, Kiddo A, but I’m just as fond of her toddler stage. She regularly leaves me missing the two-year-old version of the boy who made me a mom and I delight in watching her explore, develop, and acquire knowledge.
Baby B is quick to Continue reading
I know I’m not shocking any of you when I say that we are big holiday people. Well, more accurately, I am a big holiday person. I always go overboard and have been working on scaling back to a more reasonable level. I will always have special treats and traditions for my family around the holiday, but maybe, just maybe they don’t need quite so many. Continue reading
