I have been crazy, stupid excited over the arrival of Little Brother N. Now that he’s here safe and sound, I’m thrilled to share the way we celebrated him, and honored Kerstin’s second pregnancy, over the summer.
Beautiful L, Jessi, Mama T, and April agreed to help me co-host a Be Brave Little One themed Baby Sprinkle. Mama T generously hosted the event at her gorgeous home and we had a blast preparing and decorating. If you ever have the chance to plan a party with a handful of your favorite gals, do it! The fun quintuples and the work minimizes!
We picked a Navy Blue, Ocean Blue, and Gold color theme to compliment the adorable invitations, arrows, and rustic look of the party. Some of our items were ordered from Etsy, but we also took the DIY approach in many areas. Mama T set out fresh flowers, as well, making a beautiful atmosphere for our gathering.
Food & Drink
This is an area where our dear friends excel! We each agreed to make some of our favorite dishes and incorporate the Be Brave Little One theme. We enjoyed yogurt parfaits wrapped in arrows, delectable muffins on a colorful blue display, egg bites, fruit kabobs on arrows, the CUTEST cookies from a locally owned business, scrumptious french toast casserole, and a variety of mixed cocktails and mocktails garnished with fresh lavender, lemons, berries, and garden mint.
Instead of a guest book or typical games, we asked our guests to sign a wooden arrow with a gold tip to later hang in the nursery. We also had our friends leave wishes for Kerstin and her baby boy on cute little notes. This was an easy way to share a little extra love with them both, as well as provide a sentimental baby book keepsake for later.
Kerstin chose the sweetest way to thank her guests. She created a candy bar that matched the Baby Sprinkle colors and theme. She framed her own hand written “Thank You” note and arranged sugary treats in glass containers. The natural, stamped bags she picked for guests to fill with candy were darling!
Little Brother N had just about everything he could ever need thanks to Big Brother N coming before him. Outside of a few consumables, Kerstin didn’t need much in way of baby items. There was a special sling she wanted, however, and so we pitched in to give her a new baby carrier. Other guests still had fun shopping for Baby Boy and it was fun to spoil both of them!
Kerstin wanted to keep her Baby Sprinkle intimate. We had the company of her MIL and her own mama as well as a select few girlfriends and their moms. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon of sisterhood, food, and fun, never guessing that Little Brother N would arrive in September instead of his estimated birth month of October!
Welcome, Little Brother N! We have loved you since the moment we learned you would be joining us. We cannot wait to watch you move mountains and support your loving mama along the way!
