2013 Holiday Recap

We had an amazing holiday season this year.  It was full of parties, memory-making, and fun times for all around. Here are a few photos from this year’s festivities!

To kick the season off, we went to our community’s tree lighting. All the trees in City Park are wrapped with lights and the lights are turned on at the same time and left on throughout the Christmas season. They hold the event in conjunction with a 5K, a visit from Santa, and some vendors come out to participate.  It’s always a fun time and the lights are beautiful!

We headed back to Iowa to spend Thanksgiving with both Seano and my families. We ate TONS of awesome food and got to spend some much overdue time with lots of family and friends.

My dear friend Jessi and I had an Ugly Sweater party to celebrate our December birthdays. Need I say more?

We made a quick visit to Santa on Pajama Night. While N was very interested in him from a few feet away, he wasn’t quite as happy to sit on his lap.

My mother-in-law, Barb, hosted an AWESOME mother/daughter night for my girlfriends and our moms. My girlfriends are a ball of fun but when you add our moms and sisters, well, it can get wild. Thanks Corrie L. Photography for the photos!

We made a quick trip to the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center to see a Model Train Exhibit. N loved it! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen concentrate so hard!

Ms. E hosted a great party for the kids at daycare. She went so far above and beyond with special presents for each of the kiddos and a table full of goodies. It was such a joy to get to spend that time with all of the kids and have another opportunity to see them all interact within this environment.

A white Christmas meant time playing outside!  Have you ever seen a cuter face?

We shared three meals with Seano’s and my family over Christmas and the time together was wonderful. I did get the flu which was a bummer. But I was able to pretty much fight through it and didn’t miss out on too much.

And this face is what made my Christmas!

N spent New Year’s Eve with Nana and Pops – his first night away from mom and dad. While we missed him, it was nice to have an evening out with friends and the house to ourselves.

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season as much as we did! Man, it always goes so fast! Any fun events or stories you want to share with us?
